This program is only open to students who have completed a Garnish DJ course at another Garnish location. Your course gave you the foundations; Barcelona is where you build a sound people recognize, sets that tell a story, and a clear plan for where your career goes next.
Your mentor is a working Barcelona DJ who plays the city's clubs, rooftops and festivals, and every session happens in a professional studio on the same gear you'll find in the booth: CDJs, Technics turntables and a range of club mixers. Join a class over two months, or go one-to-one and finish in as little as ten days - the same 24 hours either way.

We put on events across Barcelona all year - club showcases, rooftop sessions and outdoor day parties - and book over a thousand DJ slots a year. When your mentor says you're ready, you can be invited to play one of them.*
It's an opportunity you earn, not a ticket you buy: the slot depends on your progress, on your music suiting the event and on the calendar while you're in town. But it's what the whole program points at - and a Barcelona gig* on your bio travels a long way back home.
Clubs, beach bars, rooftops and some of the world's biggest electronic festivals - and a crowd that knows its music.
Direct flights from New York, Miami, Chicago and more. US passport holders can visit for up to 90 days without a visa.
Your mentor plays here. You'll dig for records, hear the city's sound in the clubs and learn how a European booth works.
Spend two months in the city with the class, or go one-to-one and complete the program in as little as ten days.

We start with an in-depth session: your technical level, your musical identity, your mixing style, your references and where you want your career to go.
Sessions in a professional studio, adapted to your progress: advanced mixing, set construction, musical storytelling, digging and curation, crowd reading and advanced hardware.
The part most courses never teach: your sonic identity, your aesthetic, your references and your positioning in the scene - so you leave with a clear direction, not just better transitions.
Open only to students who have completed a Garnish DJ course at another Garnish location - New York, Los Angeles, Miami or anywhere else in the network.

No - it's an opportunity, not a guarantee. When your mentor feels you're ready, you can be invited to play one of our Barcelona events. Your music needs to suit the mood of the event; we put on a lot of events, so most of the time it works out, but if you can't be flexible on genre or style it may not be a fit. And in the unlikely event that you haven't gained enough skills by the end of the program, unfortunately you won't be able to play.
It's the same 24-hour program either way. The class runs over two months and costs less, and you learn alongside other Garnish DJs. One-to-one costs 60% more and is built entirely around you, so the 24 hours can be completed in as little as ten days - the better fit if your time in Barcelona is short.
US passport holders can visit Spain for up to 90 days in any 180 without a visa, which covers both formats, including the two-month class. Check the latest European entry requirements before you travel.

* To get a spot at one of our events, your music needs to suit the mood of the event. And in the unlikely event that a student hasn't gained enough skills by the end of the program, unfortunately they won't be able to play.
